This handmade created white opal pendant is set in .925 sterling silver. The opal stone is white with flashes of orange and pink in the light. Created opals have the same exact composition as earth mined opals, but are slightly harder, which makes them perfect for jewelry! This pendant was designed and crafted by artist Cheryl Sirkus in northern California. The pendant is stamped on the back with “SAW” for the artist’s company, Sonoma Art Works, and “925” so you can rest assured you are getting genuine .925 sterling silver jewelry.
This opal pendant measures approximately 0.8″ long (including the bail, or loop for chain) by approximately 0.52″ wide. Please note that the dime is not included but is shown to help you gauge the size of the jewelry. The pendant features a modern design that creates a large free form bail that allows the pendant to fit on most styles of chains or cords (not included) or allows the pendant to work as a unique focal bead for your own design.
Don’t forget that opal is a birthstone for October, which makes this pendant a great gift for anyone born in that month or with someone special born in that month. This pendant would be great for anyone who loves opal jewelry, petite stone pendants, or handmade sterling silver jewelry. This brand new pendant comes with our original store tags and gift box, great for giving or storage for years to come. The pendant also comes with an information card from the artist which states the following:
Our designs are created in the studio of Sonoma Art Works, located in Sonoma Valley amidst the vineyards of northern California’s wine country. The jewelry is designed by the artist Cheryl Sirkus whose creations begin on her sketch pad and are transformed into the precious metals that are used.
The majority of our original designs have been hand cast in sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil. They capture the feeling of elegance and femininity in a very understated way. The semiprecious gemstones and pearls enhance their subtle and natural beauty.
We are pleased to share them with you.
