This genuine ancient Roman coin and .925 sterling silver handmade pendant features Licinius, who was emperor of the Roman Empire from 308-324 A.D. Licinius was born into a Dacian peasant family and eventually became emperor by 308. During most of his reign he had a rivalry with his colleague Constantine the Great. This pendant shows a profile image of Licinius on the front, and the reverse side of the coin shows a faint image of letters inside a round wreath. This pendant features sterling silver line details around the rim of the coin.


This pendant measures approximately 1.63” long (including the bail) by approximately 1” wide. Please note that the dime is not included but is shown to help you gauge the size of the pendant. This pendant has a large bail (loop for chain) which allows the pendant to fit easily on to most styles of chains or cords (not included) or to work as focal bead for your own unique beaded design. The back of the pendant is stamped with “925” so you can rest assured that the pendant is set in genuine .925 sterling silver jewelry.

(308-324 A.D.) Of Dacian peasant origin, born in Moesia Superior, Licinius accompanied his close friend the Emperor Galerius on the Persian expedition in 297. Galerius elevated Licinius to the rank of Augustus in the West on November 11, 308. He received as his immediate command the provinces of Illyricum, Thrace and Pannonia (the western half of the Roman Empire).
